Y’all, F. Scott Fitzgerald did not write the screenplay for Benjamin Button. He wrote the short story, within which this lovely and amazing quote is not found.
Eric Roth and Robin Swicord, who collaborated together on the Benjamin Button screenplay, are the ones who truly deserve credit for the words above. Just for the record.
